Vitamin D3 – The Real Anti Aging Vitamin

Most health resources are now expounding the virtues of Vitamin D Supplementation. It plays a very important part in the body’s immunological reaction, mood, brain and heart health, and weight and strength.

Some adherents claim that taking higher doses “1,000 -4,000 units every day can prevent cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, autoimmune defects and many other health outcomes beyond bone health. The scientific findings don’t back that up “yet.

Also, according to the medical panel,
“The new report says people’s blood levels of vitamin D do not need to be higher than 20 nanograms per milliliter of blood. Leading adherents aim for a blood level of 30 or perhaps 40.

If 30 were the right number, over 50% of the American. Population could be considered inadequate in vitamin D.”

A major study on Vitamin D supplementation financed by the National Institutes of Health is being done on 20,000 Americans. Those results will not be in for another 5 years.

Physicians are far more customarily testing for Vitamin D deficiency and finding most of their patients ARE deficient. What number are they using as a baseline?

Scientists have been perusing the effect of Vitamin D3 in women aged 18-79. Particularly, they were studying the results of D3 on a certain part of a chromosome that shortens as we grow older when we are exposed to increased inflammation.

As the D3 inhibits inflammation, the researchers are thinking it may actually have an impact on the length of this precise part of the chromosome called a telomere.

Essentially, they found that women with more Vitamin D3 in their bodies often had longer telomeres. And folk with longer leukocyte telomere length (LTL) sometimes aged more slowly.

According to the study authors, “Our discoveries suggest that higher vitamin D levels, which are simply modifiable through nutritional supplementation, are associated with longer LTL,” explaining the doubtless favorable results of this vitamin on {aging} and age-implicated sicknesses.

Either way, anecdotal observations from the doctors suggesting Vitamin D supplementation has been promising. Many are saying taking Vitamin D supplements is a good way to hedge your bets.
